Congratulations Dr. Perissinotto & Dr. Kotwal on Award from The Joseph & Vera Long Foundation

Congratulations Carla Perissinotto, MD, MHS & Ashwin Kotwal, MD, MS who received a $300,000 award from The Joseph & Vera Long Foundation!  This multi-year project, “UCSF Coalition for Older Adults’ Social Connectedness”, aims to provide clinicians with tools and resources to identify social isolation and loneliness as treatable social conditions, and prescribe patients and families the best available evidence-based interventions, so that older adults have the resources to thrive.  The project will also help to strengthen community education, engagement and partnerships, as well as facilitate activities and learning opportunities with medical students, residents, and fellows interested in aging research.  Congratulations once again for receiving funding to support this important work!
