Cyrus Ahalt and Team Publish Paper in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society

Cyrus Ahalt, Irena Stijacic-Cenzer, Bruce Miller, MD, Howard Rosen, MD, Deborah Barnes, PhD, and Brie Williams, MD, MS recently published a paper in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society entitled "Cognition and Incarceration: Cognitive Impairment and Its Associated Outcomes in Older Adults in Jail.”  The article describes the prevalence of cognitive impairment in older adults in jail and its association with increased ER use, hospitalization and reincarceration over 6 months following release.  The full article can be found here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30232805
