She also has a B.S., B.A degree in International Business and Marketing & Minor in French from the American University Kogod School of Business, graduating with a cum laude distinction!
Jackie’s passion and dedication is to transform access to high-quality care for older adults experiencing cognitive impairments. She believes that early detection and diagnosis can provide relief for people and their communities as ‘Knowledge is Power.’ It’s her passion to support individuals and communities to access this power. In her previous role at the Community Living Fund at the Institute on Aging, she worked with older adults who experience some of the most challenging situations in the Bay Area. We’re excited to have her join the growing DCA team! Jackie started today and can be reached at [email protected] . Please reach out and give her warm welcome to the Division!
Caroline Eskandar
Caroline started this morning and will be supporting Dr. Mike Steinman, Dr. Matthew Growdon, and Dr. Melisa Wong in their research studies. She is currently working on her master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) at the University of California, Berkeley. She is expected to graduate this July 2023!
As a current MPH student at UC Berkeley, completing a concentration in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, she completed multiple relevant courses where she obtained in depth education on coding. In her role as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Health & Human Rights Program at Human Rights Center (HRC), she assisted with groundbreaking evaluation of the Family and Me (FAM) Project, an innovative, homebased foster care pilot program for San Francisco youth impacted by commercial sexual exploitation (CSE). Caroline worked on a mixed-method, longitudinal evaluation, conducted interviews, created Qualtrics survey and contacted various organizations in California to collect feedback plus co-authored an evaluation report published on the HRC’s website to improve the FAM program.
Her managers have said that Caroline is a resourceful problem-solver who uses her initiative and organizational skills to get the job done. In her new role as Clinical Research Coordinator, she will work closely with Drs. Steinman, Wong, and Growdon and their research teams on multiple studies focused on medication use and cancer in older adults.
Caroline can be reached at [email protected] if you need to get a hold of her. We are so excited she has joined our growing Division. Please help us welcome her to the team!
